Book Coaching

The writing process is personal—everyone has their own approach and their unique struggles. That’s why book coaching is a flexible and customizable. It can fit any stage of your writing process and it is more than just instruction; it is about accountability, encouragement, and support.

Writers discover all kinds of needs during their adventures. Some writers need help pulling a brilliant idea from their head and getting it out on the screen. Other’s need more routine help, like keeping them accountable and on track. Still other’s want a sounding board and someone to continually review their progress to maintain their writing momentum. Whatever you need, we can work out an ideal set-up to ensure you meet your goals.

My experience in developmental editing, mentoring, and project management drives my unique approach to coaching. I act as a sounding board and push writers to dig deeper by asking the tough questions, supplementing those with writing exercises, and helping to flesh out those answers that make writing scenes easier. And the project manager in me can’t help but offer advice on how to tackle revisions. I often find that when faced with feedback, writers have already sunk so much effort into a manuscript that they become overwhelmed. Sometimes a sensible and achievable task breakdown is all it takes to get you blowing past milestones on the way to writing “the end”.

Coaching services are completely customizable. Pricing is based on an hourly rate which can be devised after a consultation call. Here are a few sample packages to help you start assessing your needs:
